This guide will walk you through the process of creating a PayPal payment link that you can send to friends or customers (or post on social media) to receive payments.
Steps
On a Desktop

Open PayPal. Visit https://www.paypal.com/ on your browser from your computer.

Log in if necessary. If the PayPal page doesn't open automatically, click on Log In at the top right corner, enter your email address and password, then click Log In. Afterward, you can click on My PayPal at the top right to access your page.

Click the Send & Request tab. This is located at the top of the page.

Click the Request tab. You will find it near the top of the Send & Request section.

Click Share your PayPal.Me link. It is located on the right side of the page. This action will open a window with your PayPal link.

Copy the PayPal link. You will see a PayPal link below your profile picture at the top of the window. Highlight the link by dragging your cursor over it, then press Ctrl+C (Windows) or ⌘ Command+C (Mac) to copy the link.

Paste the link where you want to share it. Open a social media page, email inbox, or any other place where you want to paste the link, click into the text box, and press Ctrl+V or ⌘ Command+V. The link will appear there.
- You can then proceed to post or send the link based on the location you pasted it (for example, if you're using an email service, you'll enter the recipient's email address and click the "Send" button).
On a mobile device

Open PayPal. Tap the PayPal app icon, which looks like a white "P" on a dark blue background. This will open PayPal if you've logged in previously.
- If prompted to log in, enter your email and password, then tap Log In (Sign In) before continuing.
- If you're using an iPhone or Android with fingerprint ID, you will be asked to scan your fingerprint instead of entering your password.

Tap Request (Request). This tab is located at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Share your link to get paid (Share your link to get paid). This option will be located near the top of the screen. A menu of apps will appear where you can share your PayPal link.

Select an app. Tap the app you wish to use to share your link. This action will open the app with your link in the "Share" field.
- For example: if you want to send your PayPal link to a friend via text message, tap the Messages app icon on your phone. The Messages app will display your PayPal link in the text box.

Enter contact information if necessary. For example, when sharing your link through text message or email, you will need to add the contact details (or group of contacts) to whom you want to send the link.
- If you're sharing the link via social media, this step can be skipped.

Send or post your link. Once all the required information has been added to your link, tap the Send or Post button to share the link.
Tips
- You can use HTML to create a link if you'd like to embed the PayPal payment link on your website.
Warning
- PayPal may charge processing fees on any payment made through your link, depending on the type of your account.
