The simplest methods to disable SharePlay on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.

For iPhone or iPad Users

- Alternatively, you can deactivate SharePlay for specific apps by toggling the switch next to each app.
Utilizing Screen Time Restrictions (iPhone and iPad)
Access the Settings menu. Look for the icon resembling two silver gears. Tap this icon on your Home screen to open Settings.
Select Screen Time. This option is identifiable by a purple icon resembling an hourglass. The Screen Time settings permit you to control content restrictions and usage duration on a device.
Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions. This option is adjacent to a red icon featuring a circle with a line through it.
Activate Content and Privacy Restrictions. Simply toggle the switch at the top of the menu to enable Content and Privacy Restrictions.
Choose Allowed apps. This option can be found within the Content & Privacy Restrictions menu. It grants you the ability to block apps on your iPhone or iPad.
Toggle the switch next to 'SharePlay.' This will deactivate SharePlay on your iPhone or iPad.
For Mac Users
Launch Facetime on your Mac. Facetime features a green icon resembling a camera. Open the Facetime app either from the Dock at the bottom of the screen or from your Applications folder.
Access the Facetime settings. Find this option in the top menu bar on your screen to access the Facetime menu.
Select Settings. You'll find this option at the top of the Facetime menu.
- On older macOS versions, it may be labeled as Preferences instead of 'Settings.'
Click on the SharePlay tab. This tab is located second from the top.
Untick the box next to 'SharePlay.' By doing so, you will deactivate SharePlay for Facetime on your Mac.
- Alternatively, you have the option to deselect specific apps you wish to permit SharePlay to utilize within FaceTime.
Utilizing Apple TV
Access the Settings menu. Look for the Settings menu, identifiable by its icon resembling two silver gears, on the Home screen of your Apple TV.
Choose Users and Accounts. This option is situated within the Settings menu, near the top.
Choose your username. This represents the username associated with your account.
Choose Share with you. You'll find this option within your username menu.
Disable it. Simply toggle the switch to turn it off.
