This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to delete photos from your Facebook account. Unfortunately, while you can remove photos on both desktop and mobile devices, Facebook does not support deleting multiple photos at once. You can only delete photos one by one or remove an entire album. Additionally, you cannot delete photos you did not upload, such as tagged images.
Steps
On a Computer

- If you're not logged in, enter your email address and password to proceed.
Unfortunately, while you can delete photos on Facebook using both computers and mobile devices, you cannot delete multiple photos at once. You are limited to deleting photos individually or removing an entire album.



- You cannot delete photos uploaded by others.







- Click the Albums tab at the top of the Photos page.
- Locate the album you or a third-party app (such as Instagram) created.
- Click the ⋯ icon in the bottom-right corner of the album.
- Select Delete album.
- Choose Delete Album when prompted for confirmation.
On a Mobile Device

- If you're not logged in, enter your email address and password to proceed.

- If you don't see this icon, tap the ☰ icon at the bottom or top of the screen, then tap your profile picture.

- On Android devices, the Photos tab is located directly below your cover photo.



- You may need to tap the photo for this icon to appear.
- On Android devices, tap the ⋮ icon instead.




- Tap the Albums tab in the top-right corner of the Photos page.
- Tap the Edit button in the top-right corner of the screen (on Android, tap the album you want to delete).
- Tap the X icon in the top-left corner of the album you want to delete (on Android, tap the ⋯ icon in the top-right corner of the screen).
- Select Delete when prompted for confirmation (on Android, choose Delete from the displayed menu, then tap DELETE when prompted for confirmation).
Tips
- Deleting photos on a computer is faster than on the Facebook mobile app due to the ability to perform multiple actions across various tabs more efficiently.
Warnings
- Avoid installing third-party extensions or apps that claim to delete multiple photos at once. These tools are highly likely to steal your login credentials.
