This article provides instructions on how to delete individual notifications from your Facebook notification list. You can follow these steps on the mobile app for both iPhone and Android, as well as on the Facebook website. However, there is no option to delete more than one notification at a time, so you can't clear all Facebook notifications at once.
Steps
On iPhone

Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook icon with the white 'f' on a blue background. If you're already logged in, this will take you to your News Feed.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then tap Log In.

Tap the "Notifications" (bell) icon at the bottom of the screen to view your notification history.

Swipe a notification from right to left. You will see the option Hide on the right side of the notification.

Tap Hide (Hide) on the right side of the notification. The notification will be immediately removed from the list; you won’t see it when you open the "Notifications" section.
- You can repeat this for each notification you wish to delete.
- Depending on the version of Facebook on your device, sometimes this method may not work on an iPad. If that happens, you can try using the website on a computer.
On Android

Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook icon with the white 'f' on a blue background. If you’re logged in, this will take you to your News Feed.
- If you are not logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then tap Log In.

Click on the "Notifications" bell icon located at the bottom of your screen. This action will open up your notification history.

Click on the ⋯. This three-dot icon is located to the right of each notification. After clicking it, a menu will appear.
- You can also tap and hold on the notification.

Click on Hide this notification in the menu that just appeared. This will remove the notification from the "Notifications" tab and the activity log.
- You can repeat this process for any notification you wish to remove.
On a computer

Open Facebook. Visit https://www.facebook.com in your web browser. The News Feed page will load if you are already logged into Facebook.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) in the top right corner and click Log In.

Click on the "Notifications" (Thông báo) icon, which looks like a globe, at the top right corner of your page. This action will open a list displaying your most recent Facebook notifications.

Select a notification. Hover your cursor over the notification you wish to delete. You will immediately see the ⋯ icon and a circle appear to the right of the notification.
- For instance, if you want to remove a notification about someone liking your status, hover over the text "[Name] liked your post: [Post Content]."
- If you can't find the notification you need to delete, click on See All to display all notifications, then scroll down until you find it.

Click on the ⋯ icon at the top right of the notification to open a menu.

Click on the Hide this notification option in the displayed menu to remove the notification from your "Notifications" list.
Tip
- You can adjust how notifications are displayed in your recent notifications list through the Notifications section in Facebook's Settings.
Warning
- Unlike emails, you cannot delete all Facebook notifications at once.
