Finding and joining groups on Telegram may seem challenging and time-consuming for new users. In this article, let's explore the simple and quickest ways to find and join groups on Telegram.

1. Classifying Chat Groups on Telegram
Currently, Telegram has three popular types of groups as follows:
- Public Groups: These are open chat groups with a membership capacity of up to 100,000. Anyone can find and join these groups. To join, you simply need to access the group link or search in the message section.
- Private Groups: These are chat groups created by individuals with a membership capacity of up to 100,000. However, you cannot search for these groups in the message section; you need a group link to join. Additionally, you may require approval from a member or the group owner before joining.
- Supergroup: This type of group shares similarities with private groups but offers more advanced management features. Upgrading to a supergroup is recommended when the number of members exceeds 200.
2. How to Find and Join Public Groups
2.1. On Telegram Desktop
Enter the group name in the Search (1) section => Click on the desired group (2) => JOIN GROUP (3).
After that, you will receive a notification confirming your successful group join.
2.2. On Telegram Android
Step 1: Tap on the Search (1) icon => enter the group name you're looking for (2) => tap on the desired group (3).
Step 2: Tap on Join to become a member of the group.
2.3. On Telegram iOS
Step 2: Tap on Join to become a member of the group.
3. Find and Join Private Groups
3.1. Find Group Link (for members who have joined the group)
- On Telegram Desktop:
Step 1: Open the group (1) => click on ⁝ (2) => View group info (3).
Step 2: Click on ⁝ (1) => Manage group (2).
Step 3: Click on Invite Link.
Next, Copy that invite link and send it to your friends.
- On Telegram Mobile:
Step 1: Tap on the group name (1) => Edit (2).
Step 2: Choose Invite Link (1) => tap on the icon … (2).
Step 3: Tap on Copy to copy the link and send this link to your friends for them to join the group.
3.2. Joining a Group
- Using the link in the message
After receiving the link, click on the link in the message.
Then, you will immediately join the group with a notification of successful group joining.
On the mobile version, after tapping the link, press Join Group to become a member of the group.
- Using the link in the browser
Many users often share group links on websites or social media, requiring you to use a browser to access and join the group.
First, copy the link and paste it into the browser (1) to access. Then, click on Open Telegram Desktop (2).
Next, click on Join Group to join the private group.
On mobile, you also paste the link in the browser (1) => Open (2).
Next, tap on Join Group to become a member.
