Backup Mac data with Time Machine
Ensure the safety of your data before diving into downloading and installing macOS 10.13, as installation processes may sometimes lead to errors and potential data loss.
Step 1: Connect your Mac to an external hard drive or Time Capsule using USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt cables.
Step 2: Click on the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen and select System Preferences.

How to Download macOS 10.13 High Sierra Developer Beta
Step 1: To use and experience the macOS 10.13 High Sierra operating system early, access Apple's dedicated developer page HERE and click on the Developer section.
Step 3: Enter your information and proceed to log in to your developer account.
Step 4: Next, scroll down to locate the macOS 10.13 version, choose Download, and wait for the file to download to your Mac.
Step 5: Open the Downloads window right in your browser and double-click on macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.dmg. In case you don't have a Developer account or prefer not to register, you can directly download the file macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.dmg HERE.
Step 6: The macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility window appears; double-click on the file macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.pkg to run the installation process.

Continue pressing Continue once again.
Click on Agree to confirm the process.
Press Install to initiate the installation.
Enter your Mac account information.
Upon completing the installation of macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility, click Close to proceed to the next step.
Once the download process concludes, the Mac's App Store will automatically open to the Updates section. Click on Update to download and install macOS 10.13 High Sierra for developers.
Click on Download & Restart when the confirmation dialog box appears to initiate the download process and restart the system, commencing the installation process.
Depending on your file and internet connection, updating the developer beta version may take some time to complete the download process. You can check the status in the Updates tab of the App Store.
- If the latest developer beta version does not appear in the Updates list, restart your Mac, then open the App Store and click on the Updates tab.
Install macOS 10.13 High Sierra developer beta
After macOS 10.13 High Sierra completes the download, you will be prompted to install the software automatically.
- Click on Continue.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions from Apple.
- Click on Install.
- Follow the instructions to install macOS High Sierra.
Your Mac will restart to install macOS High Sierra. You'll see a black screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar. During the wait, you can relax until the software installation process concludes.
Boot up macOS 10.13 High Sierra developer beta
Once your Mac restarts, you'll access macOS 10.13 High Sierra. However, to begin using it, you need to follow a few steps.
- Click on Continue.
- Log in with your username and Apple ID password. Then, iCloud will synchronize desktop content and other files.
