Today, Mytour will show you how to run two apps or Safari tabs side by side on your iPad. The "Split View" feature is available on iPad Air 2, Pro, Mini 4 (or newer models) running iOS 10 or later.
Steps
Open two apps in split screen mode

Open the Settings app on your iPad. The gray app with a gear icon (⚙️), usually located on the home screen.

Tap on General. This option is near the top of the menu, next to the gear icon (⚙️).

Select the Multitasking option at the top of the menu.

Slide the "Allow Multiple Apps" toggle to the "On" position (green). When this setting is enabled, you can open and use two apps simultaneously.

Press the circular Home button on your iPad.

Rotate your iPad to landscape orientation. The "Multiple Apps" feature only works when the iPad screen is in horizontal mode.

Open an app. Choose the application you want to use alongside another app.

Swipe to the left. Gently swipe from the right edge of the screen to the left. A tab will appear in the middle of the right side of the screen.

Drag this tab to the left. Pull the tab to the center. This action will resize the currently open app. A vertical app display will appear in the newly created frame on the right.
- If another app automatically opens in the right frame, swipe down from the top of the right frame to close it and view the app selection screen.

Scroll through the app list. Swipe down until you find the second app you want to open.
- Not all apps are compatible with the "Multiple Apps" feature. Only compatible apps will appear in the scrollable screen.

Tap on the app you wish to open. The app will run in the right frame of the "Multiple Apps" view.
- To switch the app in the right frame, swipe down from the top and select a new app from the scrollable screen.
- To exit the "Multiple Apps" screen, press and hold the gray slider between the two frames and drag it toward the app you want to close.
View two Safari tabs simultaneously

Rotate your iPad screen to landscape orientation. The "Split View" feature in Safari only functions when the iPad screen is displayed horizontally.

Launch Safari. Look for the white app featuring a blue compass icon.

Press and hold the tab management button. This button, located at the top right corner of the screen, displays two overlapping squares. A dropdown menu will appear.

Tap on Open Split View. This option is at the top of the menu. Now, you can view two Safari tabs side by side.
- Alternatively, you can drag an open browser tab from the top of the Safari window to the right side of the screen. This action will activate "Split View" and open the tab in a separate frame.
- To exit "Split View", press and hold the tab management button at the bottom right corner of any browser frame. Then, tap on Merge All Tabs to combine tabs from all frames into a single window, or tap on Close Tabs to completely close the frame and expand the remaining window to full screen.
