HOW TO HIDE THE LOCK SCREEN ON WINDOWS 10.
Group policy settings to hide the lock screen are still available, but only on the Enterprise and Education versions of Windows 10. The Windows 10 Professional version does not include this feature. Please refer to Mytour's article for solutions.
METHOD 1: By renaming the folder containing the Windows 10 lock screen. Windows 10 will fail to load the lock screen, but it will still load it once when you start Windows. From subsequent lock or wake events, Windows 10 will hide the lock screen, and you will go straight to the login screen.
Step 1: First, open the Windows 10 File Explorer. Choose the drive where Windows 10 is installed. Here, I choose the C:\Mytour drive.
Step 2: Next, select the Windows
Step 3: Afterward, scroll down and choose the SystemApps folder.
Step 4: Next, locate the folder named “Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy”. Rename the folder to something different from the original. Choose a memorable name for easy reactivation of the lock screen when needed.
Here, I renamed it to Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy.Mytour.
After completing this action, Windows 10 will only load the lock screen once during startup. Subsequently, it will hide the lock screen even when you wake up or unlock Windows 10. Microsoft may adjust this customization in the future.
METHOD 2: This approach ensures that the lock screen never appears again, allowing Windows 10 to skip the password entry step. Windows will go directly to the desktop upon startup. Consider using this method in crowded places where you wouldn't want your Windows 10 to automatically unlock for others to use. To implement this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Use the Windows + R key combination to open the Run dialog. Then, type “netplwiz” and press Enter or select OK.
Step 2: The User Accounts settings window will appear. Choose your account name and uncheck the User must enter a user name and password to use this computer option.
Step 3: Press Enter, enter your User name and Password, then select OK.
After completion, Windows 10 will automatically skip the password entry process. The Desktop will always be displayed when you start, wake up, or unlock Windows 10.
