Today, Mytour will guide you through mounting an ISO file as a disk image on your computer. Additionally, you'll learn how to launch the installation wizard to set up the contents of the ISO application on either a Windows or Mac system.
Steps
On Windows

Open the folder containing the ISO file. Locate the disk image ISO file you wish to install on your computer, then open the folder where it is stored.

Right-click on the ISO file you wish to install. A context menu with various options will appear.

Click on Mount at the top of the right-click menu. The selected ISO file will be mounted as a disk image on your computer.

Open the "This PC" window on your computer. This PC lists all disks and drives on your computer. You can find it in the Start menu or in the left navigation pane of the file explorer window.

Double-click the ISO software disk under the "Devices and drives" section. Once mounted, the ISO file will appear as a disk image here. Clicking it will launch the installation wizard and allow you to install the software contained in the ISO file.
- The software installation package from the ISO file will be mounted as a new disk under Devices and drives, similar to a DVD or CD drive.
On Mac

Open the Applications folder on your Mac. You can locate this folder in the Dock or by opening a Finder window and clicking on Applications in the left-hand navigation pane.

Double-click the Utilities folder within Applications. This folder contains essential Mac utilities such as Activity Monitor, Terminal, and Disk Utility.

Double-click on Disk Utility in the Utilities folder. Disk Utility enables you to perform tasks related to disk partitioning and management on your computer.
- Disk Utility is a pre-installed application found in the Utilities folder on every Mac.

Click on the File tab in the menu bar. This option is located in the menu bar at the top-left corner of the screen. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click on Open Disk Image in the File menu. A new file explorer window will open, allowing you to select the disk image file you wish to mount.

Select the ISO file you want to install. Locate the ISO disk image file in the file explorer window and click to select it.

Click the Open button located at the bottom-right corner of the file explorer window. The selected ISO file will appear as a disk image on your desktop.
- You can find the mounted software installation package on your desktop.

Double-click the mounted disk image on your desktop. The contents of the mounted ISO disk image will open. Here, you can install the application from the ISO file.
- The installation process may vary depending on the contents of the ISO file.
- If the mounted disk image contains a PKG file, double-click it to launch the installation wizard. If it contains an application, click and drag the application into the Applications folder.
