Have you ever been enjoying a music video on YouTube only for it to end abruptly, leaving you scrambling to replay it? Fear not! I've got some nifty tricks to help your favorite YouTube videos loop seamlessly without manual intervention!
Method 1: Utilizing YouTube's Loop Feature
YouTube comes equipped with a handy Loop feature, allowing users to endlessly repeat their favorite videos. However, this feature isn't readily available on YouTube's toolbar; you'll need to activate it using the following steps:
Right-click on the currently playing video -> select Loop

Method 2: Installing Looper for YouTube Extension
By adding this browser extension, not only can you loop entire songs but also loop specific segments within a video. This method is perfect for those who want to replay their favorite parts of long videos or learn languages through video content.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome, click on the three dots at the top-right corner of the screen to open the Customize -> More tools -> Extensions menu

Step 2: In the Extensions dialog, click on the icon with three horizontal lines at the top-left corner of the screen.

Click on Open Chrome Web Store.

Step 3: Once the Chrome Web Store opens, search for the keyword 'looper' to find results. Select the first extension with the most installations, then click Add to Chrome as shown.

Step 4: Clicking on Add Extension completes the process.

Guide to Using Looper for YouTube:
Notice that the video's title bar will now display an additional option: LOOP, which is the symbol for the Looper for YouTube extension.
Before installing Looper for YouTube

After installation, the LOOP icon will be added.

Clicking on LOOP will bring up the options menu as shown below:

Section (1): Here, you can customize the number of times the video repeats by entering a number in the Loop for: field.
Section (2): This option allows you to loop a portion of the video by entering the number of minutes (seconds) in the Loop a portion: field.
from (start point of the video) – to (end point of the video)
Method 3: Using an Intermediate Website
To achieve this, simply alter the URL by replacing 'youtube' with 'listenonrepeat'. For example: youtube.com/watch -> listenonrepeat.com/watch
Normal YouTube interface

Interface after switching to listenonrepeat

This will cause the video to automatically loop on this website. Additionally, this website allows you to customize looping a segment of the video similar to the Looper for YouTube extension.
Conclusion
Below are my evaluations of the three methods:
- The advantage of method 1 is that it doesn't require installing any extension or using an intermediary website. However, method 1 lacks the option to loop a segment of the video like methods 2 and 3.
- Method 2 offers the most convenient way to loop a video, with customization available on the website. However, its drawback is that some browsers do not support this extension.
- Method 3 involves a bit of effort as you need to change the website address, but it can be done on any browser without installing additional extensions, providing all the functionalities of using an extension.
I've presented three simple methods to help you easily replay videos and discussed their pros and cons. Choose the most suitable and convenient method for yourself. Best of luck to you all!
