In this article, Mytour will guide you on how to print photos, documents, emails, and more directly from your iPhone. You can print wirelessly if you have a printer that supports AirPrint, or use a printing app to interface with other printers.
Steps
Wireless Printing

Make sure you have a printer that supports AirPrint. You can check your printer's compatibility to confirm that it can print wirelessly from an iPhone.
- Your printer and iPhone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- If you don’t have an AirPrint-compatible printer, you can still use AirPrint by finding a network with an AirPrint-compatible printer at your workplace, school, etc.
- The printer must be set up properly for wireless printing. Since the setup process varies for different printer models, you should refer to the user manual for guidance on how to configure your specific printer.

Open an iPhone app that supports AirPrint. Most Apple apps are compatible, including Mail, Safari, and iPhoto. You can print emails, documents, and photos directly from your phone.
- For instance, open Photos to print a photo.
Open the content you want to print. Whether it’s a photo or note, just tap on the content you wish to print.

Tap the "Share" button. This button appears as a box with an arrow pointing down in the corner of the screen.
- For example, the "Share" button is located in the bottom-left corner when viewing a photo in Photos, and in the top-right corner when viewing a note in the Notes app.
- If you’re looking to print an email, tap the back button at the bottom of the screen (next to the trash icon).
Tap the Print button. This option will appear in the bottom row of the "Share" menu. Depending on the content you wish to print, you might need to swipe left to find the Print option.
- For emails, tap the Print button at the bottom of the displayed menu.
Tap the Select Printer button at the top of the screen. This step will prompt your iPhone to search for printers on the same Wi-Fi network. As long as your AirPrint-compatible printer is connected to Wi-Fi, its name will appear in this menu.
- You can use the - or + buttons below the Select Printer option to decrease or increase the number of copies, or tap on the pages of multi-page documents to select or deselect specific pages for printing.
Tap the printer's name. Wait for a moment, and you will see the printer's name appear.
Use the printing app
Open the App Store. The app icon is a blue square with a white "A" made of writing tools, and you can find the app on the Home screen of your iPhone.
Click on the Search (Search). This button is located at the bottom right corner of the screen and has a magnifying glass icon on it.
Click on the search bar. This option is located at the very top of the page.
Search for a printing app. You can type "printer app" in the search bar and press Search, or you can check out the following apps:
- Printer Pro - $6.99 (160,000 VND). Though it has a free "lite" version, Printer Pro is compatible with most printers and also offers a desktop version to sync and print more documents from your iPhone.
- Brother iPrint&Scan - Free. Compatible with many printer models.
- HP All-in-One Printer Remote - Free. Compatible with HP printers made since 2010.
- Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY - Free. Only compatible with Canon printers.
Tap the Get button on the right to select the app. If you've purchased the app, this button will be replaced by the app's price.
Tap the Install button. This button is located in the same place as the Get button.
Enter your Apple ID password. This is required to download the app.
- If you've recently logged into the App Store, you may not need to do this step.
- If your iPhone uses Touch ID, you might need to use your fingerprint here.
Open the printing app and follow the installation instructions. While the setup steps may vary depending on the app you downloaded, most of the time, it ensures that your printer can print online, add the printer to your phone app, and apply other custom settings (e.g., defaulting to black and white or color printing).
Open the content you wish to print. If you'd like to print an image or a note, just tap the content you want to print.

Tap the "Share" button. This button features an icon of a box with an upward-pointing arrow and is located in the corner of your screen.
Swipe the toolbar at the bottom to the left. You'll see options such as Copy (to duplicate) and Print.
Click the button …. This option is found at the top-right of the bottom row. Tap it to open a list of apps you can use with the selected option.
Drag the desired app to the "On" position (to the right). This action activates the app for use with the current task (e.g., Photos).
- If you don't see the app list, you can open a document or file within that app.
- The selected app may not support the file or location you want to print from (for instance, the Notes app might not be supported by certain printer applications).
- Some printers are incompatible with iPhones due to their age or software not supporting iOS. In such cases, consider replacing the current printer with an affordable AirPrint printer.
