Today, Mytour will guide you on how to enable and use the 'Undo Send' feature in Outlook. This allows you to retract an email within a limited time after clicking the 'Send' button. Note: The 'Undo Send' feature is not available on the Outlook mobile app.
Steps
Enable the 'Undo Send' Feature

Open the Outlook website. Your inbox will appear if you're already logged in.
- If not logged in, click Sign in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then click Sign in.

Click the ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner of the Outlook page.

Click on Options. This option is located at the bottom of the dropdown menu under the settings gear icon.

Select Undo send in the top-left corner of the Outlook window. This option is found under the "Automatic processing" section, which is a subcategory of the "Mail" tab.

Click the circle next to "Let me cancel messages I've sent for:". This option is located below the "Undo send" heading near the top of the page.

Choose your preferred time limit from the dropdown menu. The default is "10 seconds," but you can select from the following options:
- 5 seconds
- 10 seconds
- 15 seconds
- 30 seconds

Select a time limit. Your choice will determine the duration within which you can recall an email after hitting the "Send" button.

Click Save at the top of the page. The "Undo Sent" feature will be activated and applied to all future emails.
Recall an Email

Click ← Options just above the left-hand menu. You will be redirected back to your inbox.

Click +New (+New). This option is located above the "Inbox" heading near the top of the Outlook interface. A new email template will open on the right side of the page.

Enter the email details. Since you'll recall this email after sending, the content isn't critical; however, ensure you fill in the following fields:
- Contact name
- Subject
- Email body

Click Send at the bottom-right corner of the email window. Your email will be sent to the recipient.

Click Undo. This option will appear in the top-right corner of the inbox. It will pause the sending process and open the email in a new window. Here, you can edit the email or click Discard at the bottom to cancel it.
Warning
- Once the "Undo Send" time limit expires, you won't be able to recall the email.
