Today, Mytour will show you how to save Facebook photos to your computer, smartphone, or tablet. You will need a Facebook account to complete this process. However, keep in mind that you can't download someone else's cover photos.
Steps
On a Computer

Open Facebook. Visit https://www.facebook.com/ in your web browser. Your News Feed will open if you're logged in.
- If you're not logged into your Facebook account, you will need to enter your email address (or phone number) and password in the top left corner of the page to log in.

Go to the photo you want to download. Scroll through the News Feed until you find the image you'd like to save, or visit the profile of the person who posted it to locate it.
- You cannot save cover photos on Facebook.
- You can access someone's profile by clicking the search bar at the top of Facebook, typing their name, clicking on their name in the dropdown menu, and selecting their profile from the results.

Click on the photo. The image will open in full-screen mode.

Select the photo. Hover your mouse pointer over the image. You will see several options appear around the frame of the photo.
- The cursor should be positioned over the photo you want to download.

Click on Options (Options). When the cursor is over the photo, this option will appear at the lower right corner of the image. Clicking on it will open a dropdown menu.

Click on Download (Download). This option is near the top of the dropdown menu. The image will then be downloaded to your computer.
- In some browsers, you will need to choose the save location and click OK.
- The default download location in browsers is the Downloads folder.
On your mobile device

Open Facebook. Tap on the white "f" Facebook app icon on a blue background. Your News Feed will appear if you're already logged in.
- If you haven't logged into Facebook yet, you will need to enter your email address (or phone number) and password at the top left of the page to log in.

Go to the photo you want to download. Scroll through your News Feed until you find the image you wish to save, or visit the profile of the person who uploaded it to locate it.
- You cannot save cover photos on Facebook.
- You can visit someone's profile by tapping the search bar at the top of Facebook, entering their name, tapping their name in the dropdown menu, and then selecting their profile from the search results.

Tap on the image to open it.

Tap and hold the image. A menu will appear after one or two seconds.

Click on Save Photo (Save image) when the option appears. The option will be at the top of the pop-up menu. The image will be saved to your phone or tablet.
Tips
- When you click the Options menu on your own image, you'll have more options than when doing so on someone else's photo.
- You can also save the image on most computers by opening the image, right-clicking on it, and selecting Save image as... (or a similar option) in the drop-down menu. Choose where to save it and click OK.
- If you're using the shortcut Ctrl+S (or ⌘ Command+S on a Mac), your computer will save the entire webpage, not the image you selected.
Warning
- Images posted on Facebook belong to the uploader. Do not repost these images anywhere without their consent. If you do repost, make sure to credit the source properly.
