Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of sending an email using Gmail. You can either use the Gmail website on your computer or the Gmail mobile app on your smartphone or tablet to send emails.
Steps
On a Computer

Open Gmail. Go to https://www.gmail.com/ using your computer's web browser. Your Gmail inbox will open if you're already logged in.
- If you aren't logged into Gmail, enter your email address and password when prompted.

Click on + Compose (Compose) located at the top left of your Gmail inbox. A "New Message" window will appear at the bottom right corner of the page.
- If you're using the older version of Gmail, you need to click on COMPOSE here.

Enter the recipient's email address. Click on the "To" or "Recipients" text box at the top of the New Message window and type in the recipient's email address.
- To add multiple email addresses, enter the first email address, press the Tab ↹ key, and repeat the process for additional email addresses.
- If you want to CC or BCC someone, click on the Cc or Bcc link to the right of the "To" field and enter the email address in the respective "Cc" or "Bcc" field.

Add a subject. Click on the "Subject" text box and enter the text you want to use as the email's subject line.
- Typically, the subject line summarizes the main idea of the email in a few words.

Enter the email content. In the large text box below the "Subject" field, type the content of your email.

Format the email text if necessary. If you want to apply formatting to the text (e.g., bold, italic, or bullet points), highlight the text you want to format and click on one of the formatting options at the bottom of the email window.
- For example, to bold a section of text, highlight it and click the B option at the bottom of the email.
Attach files if desired.

Click on Send. This blue button is located at the bottom right corner of the email window. The email will be sent to the specified address.
On Mobile

Open Gmail. Tap on the Gmail app icon, which features a red "M" on a white background. Your Gmail inbox will open if you're already logged in.
- If you aren't logged in, select your account or enter your email address and password to sign in.


Enter the recipient's email address.
CcBcc
Enter a subject. Tap on the "Subject" field and type in the topic you want to use.
- Typically, the subject line summarizes the email's content in a few words.

Compose your email. Tap on the "Compose email" box and write the message you wish to send.
Add files or photos if needed.


Tips
- If you want to save the email as a draft on your computer, wait for the "Saved" status to appear next to the trash icon at the bottom right of the email window, then click the X in the top right corner. The email will be saved in the Drafts folder on the left side of your inbox.
- Emails with BCC will not display the list of BCC recipients, even if the recipient wants to see all the people who received the email.
- Ensure the email content is appropriate. Never send addresses, phone numbers, etc., in an email unless the recipient is a close friend or family member.

- Avoid sharing your email address with people or websites you don't trust.
