How to Top Up Your Mobile Phone via BIDV

* Note: VnTopup service can top up for subscribers:

- Prepaid subscribers of all mobile networks (MobiFone, Viettel, VinaPhone, GMobile, Vietnamobile) and Viettel postpaid bill payment via BIDV & MobiFone postpaid subscribers.

- When composing a top-up message, users will be exempt from charges for messages sent to the hotline 8049 (applies to VinaPhone, Vietnamobile, Gmobile networks) and charged 500 VND/message for other mobile networks.

I. Topping Up Your Phone via BIDV SMS

Note: This guide is applicable only to customers who have registered for Vntopup service at BIDV transaction counters.

1. Topping up for your own subscription

To top up your own subscription, simply compose a message following this syntax:

TOPUP [Amount] [Password] send to 8049

Where:

- Password: Is the password you set when activating the service.

- Amount: The denomination of the top-up card you want to load.

The syntax for denominations is as follows, according to BIDV's regulations:

Example: If you want to top up 100,000 VND into your phone account, follow this syntax:

- For subscriptions without using a password: TOPUP VN100 send to 8049.

- For subscriptions with a password, for example, if the password is 12345, the syntax is as follows:

TOPUP VN100 12345 send to 8049.

Or: TOPUP 100000 12345 send to 8049.

2. Topping up for another subscription

To top up for another subscription, compose a message using the following syntax:

TOPUP Amount PhoneNumber Password send to 8049.

Where:

- Amount: The top-up amount determined by the Telecommunication Network.

- PhoneNumber: Is the phone number to be topped up.

- Password: Is the password you set when activating the service.

Example: When you want to top up your phone from BIDV for the subscription number 07689xxxxx, with a denomination of 10,000 VND, you do as follows:

- Top up without using a password: TOPUP VN10 07689xxxxx send to 8049.

- Top up with a password, for example, if the password is 12345, the syntax is as follows:

TOPUP VN10 07689xxxxx 12345 send to 8049

Or: BAN VN10 07689xxxxx 12345 send to 8049.

3. Notes on password for topping up phone credit from BIDV

- To set a password, compose a message using the following syntax:

PW SET NewPassword send to 8049.

- To change the password, compose a message using the following syntax:

PW OldPassword NewPassword send to 8049.

- To cancel the password, compose a message using the following syntax:

PW OldPassword RESET send to 8049.

II. Topping up your phone via BIDV Smart banking

1. Service Requirements

- Have opened a payment account at BIDV.

- Have registered for BIDV Smart Banking and downloaded the BIDV Smart banking app to your phone.

2. Procedure

Step 1: Log in to the BIDV Smart banking app.

Step 2: On the homepage, select the 'Top Up Mobile' section.

Step 3: Select the Payment Account, enter the Phone Number to be topped up (you can leave this field blank if topping up for yourself).

After selecting the top-up amount, click 'Continue'.

Step 4: Enter your smart OTP PIN, OTP verification code, and click 'Confirm' to complete the transaction.

III. Topping up your phone via Internet Banking

1. Service Requirements

- Have opened a payment account at BIDV.

- Have registered for BIDV Internet Banking (BIDV Online financial package).

2. Procedure

Step 1: Access the BIDV Smart banking login page. Click quick access HERE

Enter your Username, Password, Captcha, and click 'Login' to access Smart banking.

Step 2: Enter the OTP code just sent to your phone number and click 'Continue'.

Step 3: Scroll down and select 'Top Up Mobile'.

Step 4: Proceed to top up your phone from BIDV Smart banking.

- Enter the phone number to be topped up (leave blank if topping up for yourself).

- Choose the denomination (10,000, 50,000, 100,000...).

After completing, click 'Continue'.

Step 5: Authenticate the payment with Smart OTP on the Smart banking app on your phone.

Procedure: Open the BIDV Smart banking app on your phone > Select 'Scan QR Code' section > Point the camera at the QR code on the computer > On your phone, press 'Confirm' to authorize the payment.

After successfully scanning the code on your phone, the screen will display the top-up transaction status.

IV. Top Up Mobile via ATM

1. Service Requirements

- Must have an ATM card at BIDV.

- No need to pre-register, you can top up your phone with an ATM card anytime.

2. Guide to using BIDV ATM for top-up

Step 1: Bring your ATM card to the nearest ATM machine.

Step 2: Insert the card into the card reader and enter your PIN number.

Step 3: Select 'Value-added services'.

Step 4: Choose 'Top up prepaid'.

Step 5: Proceed to 'Top up mobile'.

Step 6: Enter the phone number to top up and press 'Accept'.

Step 7: Enter the amount you want to top up.

Step 8: Confirm the payment.

Scenario 1: If the information you entered is correct, the screen will display as follows:

Scenario 2: If you enter the wrong phone number, the ATM screen will display as follows:

Immediately after, the screen will return to step 5 for you to re-enter the phone number.
