This guide will show you how to type the heart symbol (♥) in different programs on Windows.
Steps
The numeric keypad is on the keyboard
Click on the location where you want to insert the heart symbol.
Press the Alt key.
Press the 3 key on the numeric keypad. A heart symbol (♥) will appear where your cursor is placed.
The keyboard does not have a numeric keypad section.
Click on the area where you'd like to insert the heart symbol.
Press the NumLock key. This key is typically located at the top right corner of the keyboard.
Press the Alt key.
Press the small 3 key on the virtual keyboard. This key is typically located near the J, K, or L keys. A heart symbol (♥) will appear at the location of your cursor.
- Even when the keys are unlabeled, the keyboard will still function as long as Num Lock is enabled.
