1. Are IT-related occupations more esteemed by society?
(Với câu hỏi này, ta có thể hiểu theo 2 cách. Vì vậy chúng ta có thể áp dụng cách nhờ giám khảo diễn tả cụ thể hơn nhé)
Do you imply that computer engineers now receive greater recognition, or should I compare them to other professions? If it's the former, then I would certainly agree. We're transitioning to an era where automation stands as the most lucrative industry. Naturally, there's a direct correlation between the income one earns and the respect they command.
That said, in comparison to more conventional jobs, I don't believe either group receives any special privileges.
- automation: tự động hóa
- profitable industry: ngành nghề sinh lời
- positive correlation: tỷ lệ thuận
- special treatment: cách đối xử ưu ái
2. Has product quality declined compared to earlier times?
Based on my personal experience, this unfortunate reality holds true. For instance, the refrigerator my parents purchased in the 90s lasted us 25 years, whereas my recently bought freezer has already malfunctioned twice. I've read somewhere that manufacturers intentionally shorten the lifespan of their products to increase their inventory turnover rate. As consumers, I believe our voices aren't adequately represented.
- lifespans: tuổi thọ
- inventory turnover rate: tỷ lệ luân chuyển hàng tồn kho
3. What types of items do people prefer to repair themselves?
When it comes to household repairs, the traditional image of a husband often comes to mind. I suspect that for baby boomer men, repairing things isn't just a necessity but a hobby they truly enjoy. They deserve more appreciation from all of us.
4. Why do people opt to have their smartphones repaired at specialized stores?
Speaking from my own frequent experiences, I believe there are two reasons why Vietnamese people prefer this option. As for other countries, I cannot speak definitively.
Firstly, in Vietnam, smartphones are widely regarded as luxury items. Consequently, when issues arise, we hesitate to repair them ourselves and opt to visit specialized stores.
Secondly, opportunists are abundant here. Choosing a street technician over a specialized store solely for cost-saving reasons risks inferior replacement parts being used. The repercussions may only be apparent once you return home, when it's too late to rectify.
