Listen to the Podcast sample of IELTS Speaking Part 2 - Describe your dream job:
As an ambitious person, I have envisioned a variety of different careers I wish to immerse myself in. One that particularly resonates with me is being a fashion stylist, a role completely unrelated to my current profession.
So how did I come to aspire to this career? It all started when I stumbled upon a well-known foreign reality TV show called “Say yes to the dress”, where brides-to-be visit a wedding boutique to find their dream wedding gowns. Watching Gok, the main stylist on the show, enjoy himself while dressing his clients left a lasting impression on me.
This profession involves a range of responsibilities. Fashion stylists often create visually appealing aesthetics for their clients - whether these clients are celebrities or ordinary individuals seeking to look presentable and remarkable for a special occasion. To achieve this, they may combine various clothing items and accessories, and may even offer advice on makeup and hairstyling to achieve the perfect look.
Well-trained fashion stylists may direct major fashion shows and runway events, or be hired to Mytours scripts for photoshoots. They must possess extensive knowledge of fashion and fabric construction, as well as a deep understanding of human body shapes and facial features. They should also have an artistic eye and be meticulous.
While this career is incredibly captivating, it is also demanding with numerous unforeseen job risks. Keeping up with the latest fashion trends as micro-trends become increasingly common in the industry can be quite challenging. Additionally, because body types, facial characteristics, skin tones, and fashion sensibilities vary from person to person, styling each individual can be a challenge. In some cases, working within a budget can also pose challenges.
Despite these challenges, becoming a fashion stylist remains a dream of mine. I have always had a genuine passion for fashion, and I believe that everyone deserves to express themselves through appropriate clothing choices. Clothes may not be everything, but they are powerful tools for self-expression and can clearly define one’s personality and principles. That's why becoming part of this amazing profession would be a dream come true for me.

1. What are the most challenging professions?
I believe it varies greatly. Each individual possesses unique strengths and weaknesses, making it difficult to categorize certain careers as universally 'challenging.' Personally, I feel every occupation presents its own demands, and it's unfair to subjectively stereotype some as more difficult than others. Additionally, our work ethics and performance expectations differ.
For instance, within the same organization and role, some employees may find tasks manageable, while others might feel overwhelmed.

As someone who enjoys adventure, I can partly comprehend why individuals pursue more demanding career paths. Sometimes, the complexity and unpredictability of a job can provide the fulfillment we seek in our careers. Passion also plays a critical role in selecting our future professions. Absolutely. While some professions like athletes and nurses may involve more physical demands, every job inevitably reaches points of mental exhaustion, regardless of its perceived ease.
Rather than attributing this solely to the nature of the work, it's a facet of life where we juggle a myriad of responsibilities, spanning from professional to personal realms. Sometimes, when we lose balance between work and personal life, our performance and motivation can easily dwindle. Hence, yes, every occupation is taxing at certain times.

It’s not necessarily universal. Some individuals possess innate talents that propel them to succeed effortlessly in their careers. This doesn’t diminish the efforts of those naturally gifted; their work ethic might not mirror our own expectations, but objectively, striving towards personal goals ensures every achievement, big or small, stems from hard work.
