Have you explored the curated list of restaurants with stunning greenery and pocket-friendly prices?
Last time, Pasgo featured an article on unique and delicious dining spots in Saigon with beautiful ambiance. This time, it's time to uncover the culinary gems outside Hanoi.
Exquisite Dining Experience 1: Hoang Cau Alley Restaurant - $120/person
Nestled along the most expensive boulevard in the Capital, Alley Bistro remains tranquil and stunning. With its open architecture, the restaurant owner and architect aim to bring diners closer to nature rather than confining them within enclosed spaces.

Alley Bistro boasts a beautiful space adorned with unique greenery
The concept of a garden restaurant is not unfamiliar in Hanoi, but Alley Bistro always strives for uniqueness. This distinctiveness lies in the alternating greenery and the spaces between two trees filled with straight-lined tables and chairs.
Most of the walls here are made of glass, allowing sunlight to filter into every nook and cranny of the venue. The lampshades are modeled after fishing baskets or the baskets used by our grandmothers to store rice. All made from woven bamboo, the breath of rural Vietnam pervades every corner of Alley Bistro.

The garden-inspired design floods the space with greenery and sunlight, creating a beautiful oasis in the heart of the Capital.
A beautiful space calls for equally delightful cuisine. Authentic Saigon flavors await with a selection of 180 dishes, perfect for satisfying both hunger and cravings. From grilled mudfish with salt and chili, crab in tamarind sauce, to mudfish hotpot and chili salt grilled stingray, there's something for everyone.

The river leaf mudfish hotpot boasts a refreshing tangy flavor, perfect for hot summer days.
Enjoying the entire set only costs around 300k per person, a steal considering the quality, priced at just 120k per person. Make sure to reserve a table in advance to avail the discount, just like I did:

Beautiful Space Restaurant 2: Smile Restaurant – $100/person
Another restaurant with a beautiful ambiance is Smile Restaurant. However, diners here will enjoy a wider view compared to the garden setting of Alley Bistro. Upon arrival, choose an outdoor seat to fully appreciate the cool breeze from Truc Bach Lake.

Located near Truc Bach Lake, it's no surprise that the atmosphere here is refreshing and the ambiance is so lovely.
The large window frames are divided into smaller panes, harmonizing with the brick patterns on the floor. The bright tiled floor is adorned with colorful mosaic tiles, adding architectural flair with various shapes and colors in the middle of the room.
Smile Restaurant is a delightful eatery specializing in European cuisine. The menu isn't overly extensive as the chefs here focus on perfecting their signature dishes such as Beef Steak, Thiet Ban beef, sausage and fresh mushroom pizza with olives, grilled American beef ribs, etc. The Beef Steak is exclusively made from Australian/American beef, served with a generous portion of vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Smile Restaurant is renowned for its delectable Beef Steak dish.
The food here is quite substantial and reasonably priced for various demographics. On average, each person would spend around 100-120k. Outdoor seating fills up quickly in the evening, so it's advisable to make reservations in advance to secure a nice spot:

Beautiful Space Restaurant 3: Hanoi Corner – $180/person
This is the only restaurant on the list with an indoor pond and a sky well. It's also a beautiful space restaurant designed with a garden concept featuring numerous lush green plants.
To ensure light and ventilation for the restaurant, a large skylight has been designed on the roof of this beautiful space building. And right below the skylight is a small fish pond with a colorful school of fish swimming joyfully in the water, illuminated by natural light. Families with young children will definitely enjoy watching these colorful fish.

Hanoi Corner restaurant boasts beautiful architecture thanks to the natural light from the skylight.

The menu here is deeply rooted in Hanoi's culinary tradition, featuring familiar dishes found throughout the streets and alleys of Hanoi, such as crab noodle soup, shredded pork sticky rice, fermented shrimp paste skewers, as well as various elaborate chicken, snail, and beef dishes. Hanoians appreciate presentation, so each dish is carefully arranged, never rushed.

Beautiful Space Restaurant 4: West Lake Lotus - $230/person
Inspired by the purity of lotus and water lily flowers and the ancient palace architecture, West Lake Lotus is a fusion of modern elegance and tradition.
As night falls, the illuminated lotus flowers cast a gentle glow, rendering the lake shimmering and surreal. Colorful lanterns, hung everywhere, provide perfect photo opportunities for those who enjoy photography, so remember to capture a few shots.

A beautiful corner at West Lake Lotus with a lotus pond and pathways adorned with lanterns.
On the bridge crossing the lotus pond, both sides are adorned with bamboo fish baskets – a symbol closely associated with Vietnamese farmers. Interspersed between the bamboo baskets are woven bamboo masks with various decorative styles, depicting characters like an old man with a long beard, a rosy-cheeked girl, a short-haired child, and so on.

The lanterns made from bamboo fish baskets or the masks on the bridge never fail to impress guests.
