Passengers are allowed to perform online check-in with Vietnam Airlines within the period from 24 hours to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

The online check-in procedure for Vietnam Airlines currently does not apply to the following passenger cases:

• Special service requests (except for special meal services).
• Passengers denied carriage or deported.
• Traveling with infants under 2 years old.
• Using complimentary or discounted tickets.
• Traveling on flights departing from airports not listed in the accepted online check-in locations.
• Traveling on codeshare flights operated by other airlines.
• Traveling on commercial partnership flights between Vietnam Airlines and other airlines, where the other airline operates the flight.

How to perform online check-in on Vietnam Airlines via mobile phone in 6 steps:

• Step 1: Open the web browser on your phone, go to the Vietnam Airlines website at https://www.vietnamairlines.com/vn/vi/home. Then select 'Check-in' at the bottom left of the screen, next to Flight status.

• Step 2: Choose the 'Booking code (PNR)' field and enter the information: Booking code, Last name, Departure point as per the information on the booking confirmation. Then click the 'Check-in' button.

• Step 3: Review the flight information in the 'Your Flight Itinerary' section. Read and understand the recommendations regarding prohibited items to bring on board. Then select 'Agree to Continue' at the bottom to proceed to the next step.

• Step 4: Check the Passenger List. Choose 'Provide Additional Information' to enter the Gender of each passenger listed in the booking code. If a passenger is a child, select Child, and there is no need to enter gender. After completing, select 'Continue.

• Step 5: View the seat map on the airplane and proceed to select a seat. Seats in light yellow are available, choose the seat you want and press 'Select Seat' to confirm the seat.

Now, the color of the seat you selected will change to dark yellow. If there are multiple passengers in the same ticket code, proceed to select seats for each person one by one. After making your selections, scroll to the top or bottom of the page, click 'Continue' to complete the seat selection.

• Step 6: The system confirms that you have successfully checked in online with VNA. Click on the 'Trip Options' button and choose 'Send boarding pass via email' or 'Print boarding pass' based on your preference. Please keep the boarding pass on your phone or print it out for use at the airport.

• Step 1: Download the Vietnam Airlines app on the App Store (for IOS devices) and CH Play (for Android). Open the app and select 'Check-in' at the bottom right of the screen.

• Step 4: View the seating chart and choose a seat. Green seats are free to select, while gray seats are already taken. Choose your desired seat and click 'Confirm'. If there are multiple passengers with the same booking code, select seats for each one. After finishing the selection, click 'Complete Seat Selection'.

• Step 5: The app will take you back to the 'Passenger Information' page, where you can see the list of passengers and the corresponding seat numbers chosen in the previous step. Here, click 'Continue' and 'Confirm Information' for the gender confirmation of each passenger. If any passenger is a child, select the Children option without confirming the gender.

• Step 6: Familiarize yourself with regulations on prohibited dangerous items on board. Check the box 'I have read and agree to the terms of use of the Regulations on limited baggage transport,' then click 'Proceed' to complete the Vietnam Airlines online check-in app steps.

• Step 7: The system notifies the completion of the check-in process. Here, you can choose options: View Boarding Pass, Print Boarding Pass, or Send all Boarding Passes via email as needed for storing the Boarding Pass and using it at the airport.

• Step 5: Choose your seat with options like Aisle, Middle, and Window. Light yellow seats are available. Select your desired seat and click 'Select Seat' to confirm. The chosen seat will turn to a bold yellow. Sequentially choose seats for each passenger if there are multiple passengers under the same booking code.

• Step 6: The system notifies you that you have completed online check-in with Vietnam Airlines web. You can choose Send all boarding passes via email or Print all boarding passes for use at the airport.

• Step 1: Choose the language for online check-in with Vietnam Airlines through the kiosk.

• Step 3: Answer the question 'Do you want to print the checked baggage tag?' If you have checked baggage, choose YES. If you do not need to check baggage, select NO.

• Step 4: Select the passenger for check-in and choose a seat on the flight. Gray seats are already taken. Green seats are available. Click on your desired seat, and the selected seat will turn yellow.

• Step 5: Click on the suitcase icon next to the passenger's name. Then proceed to weigh the checked baggage, enter the weight on the machine, and click Confirm. Note that if you don't have checked baggage, you can skip this step.

• Step 6: The system will return to the seat selection screen like Step 4. Click 'Continue' and 'Confirm check-in' for the passengers in the booking code. Then wait for the system to process and print the boarding pass and baggage tag. You have now completed the Vietnam Airlines online check-in process through the airport kiosk.

• Arrive at the airport approximately 50 minutes before your domestic flight and 60 minutes before your international flight.
