When pronouncing Korean, there is a special letter that carries many meanings and different ways of pronunciation. That is ㅢ.
Typically, Korean beginners, after learning the Korean alphabet, can read Korean letters such as ㅢ, which is ㅡ + ㅣ = ㅢ (ư + i = ưi) and read it as ưi. This is correct, but as mentioned above, the letter ㅢ has many ways of pronunciation depending on its meaning and grammar.
