On the one hand, I understand why some people argue it is best to provide financial assistance for developing countries. Firstly, external monetary flow enables executive bodies of those countries to carry out a variety of functions, for example infrastructural development, social healthcare, water and power supplies. This would help avoid stagnation and foster economic progress. Secondly, when state income from taxes is inadequate, foreign cash injections are vital to maintain effective administration systems by paying standard salaries for governmental staff members who play supervisory roles in all sections of a nation.
Conversely, I would align myself with those advocating for alternative forms of aid. Sustainable development hinges not solely on finances but on effective governance, particularly through diplomatic initiatives and addressing internal challenges like poverty, crime, and unemployment. In this context, underdeveloped nations lack sufficient expertise, highlighting the necessity for guidance and mentorship from seasoned institutions. Moreover, even with financial backing, developing countries require professionals in scientific, legal, and medical fields to drive progress. Yet, these professionals must undergo training, making structured and comprehensive educational programs more feasible and appropriate for developing nations.
To conclude, based on the aforementioned points, it appears to me that rather than offering monetary aid to impoverished nations, global support should be extended through advisory services and educational programs.
