Microsoft has recently released Edge 83 for users, but the company is already developing version 84, now present on the Canary and Dev Insider channels. Last week, Microsoft announced translation support for the Immersive Reader tool on the Canary and Dev Insider channels. However, this feature wasn't rolled out to everyone last week but will commence from this week.

Immersive Reader is one of the features that Microsoft brings from the Legacy Edge web browser, allowing users to read without the disturbance of ads and pop-ups. The reader includes features like picture dictionary, grammar tool, and more. The new translation feature will make the tool even more useful, especially for those who need quick translations. If you are using Edge Canary or Dev, you can activate this feature by following these steps:
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge Canary/Dev.
Step 2: Open any web document and press F9 to access Immersive Reader.
Step 3: Click on Reading Preferences and choose a language from the dropdown menu under Translate.
Microsoft currently supports 54 languages, stating: 'Websites contain a lot of important information, and many people want to read websites in their native language. Microsoft Edge's new translation feature breaks down language barriers by allowing users to easily translate web pages into one of 54 languages with just one click' and also helps users reduce reliance on tools like Google Translate.
Microsoft has actively developed the new Edge web browser and has now added support for the PDF file reading feature. The tech giant has also added a direct link to navigate to the Chrome Web Store, enabling users to download extensions for Edge conveniently. Microsoft has also collaborated with Newsguard to provide free services to Edge users and help limit misinformation on the Internet.
Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev are now on version 84, expected to be soon released for Beta users. On the other hand, Stable Edge users have received the version 83 update and will have to wait for the next update to experience new features.
Recently, Google has been actively exploring new features for its products on the mobile platform. In line with this, Google incorporates search results from the web into YouTube on Android through the search UI for some users. This is a rather unusual move and has received a lot of negative feedback.
