Similar to Google, Microsoft is leveraging its own operating system to promote software, services, and products from the company. There have been numerous instances of advertisements within the Windows 10 operating system.

For instance, if you're looking for a third-party web browser like Chrome or Firefox within Windows 10 Search or the Start menu, you might encounter a suggestion to launch Microsoft Edge if it's installed through Windows Update or Microsoft's website.
If the browser isn't installed, the Windows Search interface will behave slightly differently, prompting you to download the latest Edge manually. Microsoft seems to be testing another advertisement or recommendation within the Windows Search interface.
Currently, Microsoft has integrated popular Bing search keywords into Windows 10 search results. Common Bing search keywords like 'Indoor activities' and 'Home workouts' are displayed in Windows Search, appearing to be controlled keywords by Microsoft's Tips app.
Popular Bing search keywords will continue to appear even after you've logged in and clicked on one of the links. This is akin to some strategies previously used by Microsoft to promote Chromium Edge in Windows 10.
Unlike Chromium Edge ads in search results, you can click the close button to avoid or dismiss Bing search keywords.
At this time, you can't eliminate those suggestions by turning off Show suggestions occasionally in Start and Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows in the Settings app.
Microsoft is testing these suggestions with a select group of users and they may not appear in all Windows 10 installations. Currently, you'll have to live with those suggestions in search or you can edit the registry to completely remove the ads.
Google is also displaying advertising notifications on its service, and some ads or popup windows continue to appear even when you dismiss them. It can be said that Microsoft's suggestions in Windows Search are not as intrusive as Google's search. You can find many tips for Google search here.
