Mongolia waives visa requirements for Vietnamese tourists, initiates direct flight route
Vietnam and Mongolia have inked an agreement to exempt diplomatic, official, and ordinary passport holders of Vietnam from visa requirements. Vietnamese travelers to Mongolia no longer need to apply for a Mongolian visa in advance but will receive one upon arrival at the airport.

Moreover, the two countries have announced a direct flight route between Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) and the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar. Vietjet will operate this route starting from December 15, 2023, initially offering two round-trip flights per week, with each leg lasting approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes, catering to the travel needs of Mongolian citizens and tourists to Vietnam and vice versa.

The flight route will contribute to facilitating and promoting cooperation in investment, tourism, cultural exchange, and education between the two nations and peoples, connecting Vietnam with Mongolia. It will further expand Vietjet's network covering Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), South Korea, India, Kazakhstan, and beyond.
