Guide to Muting Sound in Telegram Group Chats
Step 1: Open the Telegram application on your device.

Step 2: Enter the Telegram group chat you want to mute => select Mute.
In case you don't see the Mute option as shown in the image above:
- Click the 3-dot icon at the top right corner of the Telegram group chat.
- Select Mute Notifications => choose the duration to mute in the Telegram group chat.
+ Mute for 1 hour: Mute for 1 hour
+ Mute for 8 hours: Mute for 8 hours
+ Mute for 2 days: Mute for 2 days (48 hours)
+ Disable: Mute in the Telegram group chat until manually unmuted
To unmute the sound in Telegram group chat, simply go back to the 3-dot icon => select Unmute, and you will see the Notifications Unmuted message below.
