Tip: Techniques for Writing Narrative Essays in Grades 4 and 5
Everyone's childhood is filled with memories, both joyful and sorrowful, that are unforgettable. Even now, I still treasure my pink mini camera as it holds onto a memory that remains vivid among my siblings.
Three years ago, when my little sister was just three years old, she walked steadily and spoke fluently, so I loved playing with her. My dad bought me a toy camera, as big as my hand with cute wavy lines. My sister and I took turns taking photos. I told her to pose for me to practice photography. But she kept tilting and talking, not following my instructions. Frustrated, I yelled at her. Her eyes turned red, and her lips curled in anger. I kept yelling at her to pose as I wanted. She stood there, whimpering silently but not making a sound. Frustrated, I threw the camera at her.
- Ouch...! - She managed to utter that before burying her face and crying.
I was scared but still angry, so I ran to bed and covered myself with a blanket. My mom heard and came to ask what happened. My sister started blaming me. Under the blanket, I heard my mom saying my sister's arm was red because she got hit by the corner of the camera. I kept silent. That night, my dad gave me a good scolding. I disliked my troublesome little sister even more. For several nights, I didn't speak to her. She brought over some Lego pieces, asking me how to build them. I guessed she wanted to make peace with me, so she asked, but normally she never plays. I turned my face to the table, pretending to study diligently. She then brought a box of ice cream and started talking: 'Big Bro, today in my class, we had to introduce ourselves and our families. Tít, who lives nearby, talked about her older brother. Do you know how she described him?'
- What did she say? - I asked coldly.
He is not only handsome, but also intelligent. And when he gets angry, his face resembles a sulking kitten. She said with a cute, innocent face before bursting into laughter.
I burst into laughter and playfully tackled her, knowing she was teasing me. And so, our home was filled with laughter, conversations, and debates among us siblings. I apologized to her and asked if her hand was still hurting, my little princess then winked, pouted, and pretended to be hurt.
Over the years, my siblings and I have had countless quarrels. Now, as adults, I no longer get angry at her when I am the one at fault. My little sister has also grown up, the once mischievous kid now poses like a professional model and no longer receives scoldings from me like in the past. I truly cherish my little sister.
