1. Traveling from HCMC to Vung Tau by Motorbike
When traveling by motorbike, you have 3 options and it takes about 3 to 3.5 hours to reach your destination.
Option 1: From HCMC to Vung Tau
From downtown Ho Chi Minh City, head towards Phu My Bridge area, then at the intersection, turn right onto Nguyen Thi Dinh Street. Continuing straight, you'll reach Cat Lai Ferry. After a 10-minute ferry ride, you'll arrive in Dong Nai province.
Continue along Ly Thai To Street for about 5km until you reach Tran Van Tra Street. Follow that road and take a left onto Quach Thi Trang Street, then drive approximately 4km until you reach Ton Duc Thang Street. From there, continue straight for about 14km, then turn onto National Route 51. Travel along National Route 51 for about 60km, passing through Ba Ria City, until you reach the vicinity of Vung Tau City.
While this route may be shorter, it involves some winding roads and can be easy to get lost.

Option 2: Routes to Vung Tau
Take National Highway 1, pass Dong Nai Bridge, and you'll encounter a roundabout (Vung Tau intersection, formerly known as Vung Tau crossroad). From here, turn right onto National Route 51. Drive approximately 100km more to reach Vung Tau City.
While this route is longer, it's a popular choice due to its ease of navigation and relatively safe conditions.

Option 3: Motorcycle Route
Continue on National Highway 1A, cross Dong Nai Bridge, then take National Route 51. After traveling 27 km towards Vung Tau, you'll see a sign directing you to Long Son.
This is a shortcut route to Vung Tau. This newly constructed road has minimal traffic, offering beautiful views of coastal fishing villages.

2. Private Car (Taking a Taxi from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau)
Starting from downtown Ho Chi Minh City, head to Phu My Bridge, then continue straight onto the Second Ring Road. Take a right onto the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. Follow this direction for about 20km, then turn right onto National Route 51 and continue straight to reach Vung Tau City.

3. Taking a Coach Bus
You can head to the Eastern Bus Station, located at 292 Dinh Bo Linh, Ward 26, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, to purchase a bus ticket to Vung Tau. There are quite a few buses serving this route, departing continuously. The travel time is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. High-quality bus tickets range from 80,000 to 160,000 VND per ticket. The bus will stop at Vung Tau Bus Station, located at 192 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ward 3, Vung Tau City.

4. Taking Ho Chi Minh City Bus
This is the cheapest transportation option to Vung Tau. However, if you take the bus, you will have to change buses 3 times:
- Route 150: Cho Lon Bus Station – Tan Van. Ticket price: 6,000 VND/person/ride.
- Route 11: Vung Tau Intersection Bus Station – Tan Thanh Bus Station. Ticket price: 17,000 VND/person/ride.
