The bar chart illustrates the percentage of residents in five Australian cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart) who purchased and consumed coffee and tea in the past four weeks.
Overall, with the exception of Adelaide, visiting a café for coffee or tea was the most common behavior observed. Moreover, across all cities, the proportion of people purchasing instant coffee consistently exceeded those buying fresh coffee.
Around 61% of Sydney residents frequented cafes for tea or coffee, while the figure was slightly higher in Melbourne at about 63%. Meanwhile, more than 45% of residents in both cities bought instant coffee, compared to 44% and 43% who bought fresh coffee, respectively.
Turning to the other cities, Hobart had the highest percentage of individuals consuming coffee or tea at cafes, followed by Brisbane and Adelaide with approximately 51% and 49%, respectively. During the same period, nearly 53% of people in Brisbane and Hobart purchased instant coffee, versus about 50% in Adelaide. Finally, the percentage of individuals buying fresh coffee in Brisbane and Adelaide was almost identical, around 34%, while in Hobart it was slightly higher, at about 38%.

Consumption of sugar-based beverages is increasingly popular as a choice for refreshment in modern society. However, it carries various adverse health effects, such as diabetes and obesity. In this essay, I will explore the potential reasons behind this trend and propose solutions to help consumers reduce their consumption of these products.
To begin with, sugar and caffeine are the key causes that make it difficult for people to suppress this habit. For example, these substances deliver immediate energy increases, allowing users to be more focused and productive at work. However, they rapidly feel weary and must consume another soft drink to regain their vitality. As a result, people get unknowingly hooked to sugary beverages, leading to a situation in which they may feel typical symptoms such as headaches, exhaustion, and poor focus if they try to quit drinking energy drinks. Furthermore, meals would taste better with gas drinks, especially while eating fast food, which is one of the most popular cuisines worldwide.
Although limiting the use of sugar-based beverages is a challenging endeavor, certain steps may be taken to dissuade individuals from drinking them on a daily basis. To begin with, a hefty tax should be placed on such items since it would undoubtedly raise their price, causing individuals to think twice before purchasing a coke or soda. This should have an impact on the number of sugary drinks consumed. Another option is to have more educational dissemination efforts that encourage and advise people to have a healthy diet and live an active lifestyle, an dhighlight specific ailments linked to the excessive intake of sugar-based beverages and encourage people to avoid them.
In summary, as outlined in the essay, the issue of increased consumption of sugary drinks by individuals is influenced by various factors. Nevertheless, numerous measures can be implemented to discourage people from consuming these beverages.
