3. Example Speaking: Discuss a close friend you enjoy conversing with
Listen to the Podcast of IELTS Speaking Part 2 - Describe a close friend you enjoy conversing with:
There's this friend I've known since high school, and we've been close ever since. Back then, I was her desk mate and not very outgoing, so we only started talking in the first month of high school. It turned out we had a lot in common.
Her name is Minh, and she's a walking encyclopedia. We both love reading, and since high school, Minh has always known where to find the best book deals. Besides suggesting places to buy books, she also recommends books that match my interests. So, we always have endless discussions about what genres to explore next.
As we've grown older and started working, Minh and I manage to meet once or twice a week. We usually start by complaining about work stress, but soon after, we're back to celebrating each other's career successes. These weekly meetups have become a routine, and we often skip other events just to spend time together.
After nearly a decade of friendship, our bond remains strong. I hope to always have this reliable friend to confide in.
