In this era of modern technology obsession, owning a smartphone loaded with various useful applications is crucial, as those without it are immediately considered outdated. I also have one for myself, and among the most beneficial apps I find Google Maps - an app that aids in navigation.

Using Google Maps isn't complicated because to put it simply, it's just an online map, but how you utilize the app matters. This app proves useful to me primarily for self-navigation and route planning, especially in unfamiliar places like when I was a freshman at university in Hanoi or when traveling to distant destinations.

Google Maps has greatly helped me become familiar with the road networks of different places and has turned me into a 'human GPS,' as my friends often joke. Previously, I was inexperienced, but now that I use this app frequently, I now know Hanoi like the back of my hand, which impresses my friends, even those native to Hanoi. When it comes to travel - my ultimate passion, Google Maps is my best companion for navigation, especially in places with complex road systems like Dalat or Saigon.

Thus, Google Maps has become an integral part of my life on the road. However, a word of caution: Don't always rely on Google Maps as it can sometimes lead to surprises, often unpleasant ones.
