1. Establish Device Protection Password
Step 1: From your device interface, access Settings > Touch ID & Passcode, and click on Turn Passcode On.
Step 2: The password input interface appears; enter the password for your device. Additionally, you can change the password input method by selecting Passcode Options to switch from a 6-digit to a 4-digit passcode or enter a character password.
For devices like iPhone 5S and above, you can enhance security by setting up fingerprint recognition as an alternative to the conventional passcode entry.
Step 3: Next, from the Settings menu, find iCloud, scroll down, select Find My iPhone, and activate this feature.
2. Lock iPhone, iPad When Lost
Step 1: On your computer, using any web browser, access the iCloud homepage here.
Step 2: Log in with your iCloud account information.
Step 3: In the iCloud management interface, click on Find My iPhone.
With high-security features, the system will prompt you to confirm the process. Enter your iCloud password again to proceed to the next step.
Step 4: In the next interface, select All Devices to choose the device to locate and lock.
