Greetings to the Club's President and all book enthusiasts!
My name is Nguyen Thao Linh, a 10th-grade student at Kim Lien High School.
From an early age, my heart was captivated by fairy tales. Growing a bit older, I developed a special fondness for exploring a diverse range of books covering various themes, from novels to science fiction and detective stories. All of this compelled me to apply for the club in this recruitment round. I believe that with my love for literature, I am well-suited to integrate and grow alongside everyone here.
Regarding myself, as mentioned earlier, I have a particular fondness for books. This interest likely originates from my grandfather, a former teacher known for his extensive knowledge and admired wisdom. Growing up with him, I was always taught many things. Even the familiar 'Journey to the West' became much more interesting through his captivating storytelling. Consequently, my love for literature grew, leading me to actively seek and explore works both within and outside my country. During this exploration, I discovered a particular interest in Western novels due to their fresh and progressive perspectives on human life.
In class, I frequently exchange thoughts with the Vietnamese literature teacher - also my class teacher - about the books I've read. She has praised and recognized me many times. Consequently, she often assigns me tasks related to writing and creating content for the school's events and programs. This experience has honed my writing skills and familiarized me with the process of organizing small-scale events. This is advantageous since, from my research, I learned that the club regularly conducts reading activities, discussions, and monthly writing competitions. So, if given the opportunity to join the club, I can contribute my skills in generating ideas and organizing events to promote the club's name in the future.
Additionally, I am very confident in my MC skills. Having been exposed to books, stories, and participating in various groups, I've been vocal since childhood. Reading extensively has also helped me develop and refine my vocabulary. Parents of classmates often praise me as an active, enthusiastic, and articulate person. Therefore, beyond having knowledge and experience in book research, I can also take on the role of MC at the club's future events.
Furthermore, my proficiency in information technology is quite advanced. In addition to using tools like Word and PowerPoint, I also leverage mind maps, Padlet, Photoshop, and more to review books, making the articles more captivating. These supporting tools will also enhance flexibility in investigating and gathering information about students' reading habits and interests. This allows the club to formulate its direction and advertising strategies effectively.
The book club can be described as an excellent place for me to self-develop. I believe it will not only provide an environment for me to pursue my interests but also bring many meaningful experiences and lessons in my student life.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my introduction. I hope to have the opportunity to accompany the book club in the future.
I sincerely appreciate it!
