Since April 2014, Windows XP ISO has stopped receiving security updates. Despite the high risks associated with using unsupported software, many users still opt for Windows XP ISO for various reasons.
Software developers had previously discontinued support for Windows XP, and recently, Blizzard announced their focus on supporting newer Windows versions. Therefore, starting October, Warcraft, Diablo III, and Starcraft II will not support Windows XP and Vista.

“Microsoft discontinued support for Windows XP and Vista in 2009 and 2012, but since at that time, the majority of our user base was still using these versions, we continued to support them. Up until now, most of our users have upgraded to newer versions,” explained Blizzard.
In February of this year, Blizzard announced the discontinuation of support for Windows XP. Recently, the company confirmed the deadline for their users to upgrade to newer Windows versions is in October.
This restriction will gradually be implemented for Blizzard users.
Updates 'blocking' Warcraft, Diablo III, and Starcraft II on Windows XP and Vista will be gradually released worldwide. Sooner or later, players won't be able to play these games on systems running Windows XP and Vista unless they upgrade to a newer Windows version.
'Players won't be able to start when Warcraft, Diablo III, Starcraft II won't support Windows XP, Vista. Hence, we encourage any players still using these old Windows versions to upgrade to a newer release. We will implement this change on a different schedule and provide further announcements as we approach changes for each game,' said Blizzard.
