Get ready, The Witcher is back!
December is here, and fans of the beloved Witcher franchise are rejoicing as Season 2 of the hit series officially debuts on Netflix today, December 18th.

Season 2 of The Witcher promises to continue the success of the first season, bringing back beloved characters like Geralt of Rivia (played by Henry Cavill) and Ciri (played by Freya Allan), who reunite after spending much of the first season searching for each other. Both are seen as united shortly after the conclusion of Season 1.

The upcoming installment is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's novel 'Blood of Elves' and will feature a more linear storyline, deviating from the previous season's time-jumping narrative. Each episode will run approximately 50-60 minutes, allowing fans to binge-watch Season 2 in just 8 continuous hours.
Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off, with Geralt of Rivia (played by Henry Cavill) and Ciri (played by Freya Allan) finally reuniting. The duo heads to Kaer Morhen to meet with the witches where Ciri will undergo training. Fans can expect Season 2 to provide insights into the mountain fortress of Kaer Morhen, introducing new characters like Vesemir (played by Kim Bodnia).

While Geralt and Ciri will strengthen their bond in Season 2, Yennefer finds herself captured by Nilfgaard after the Battle of Sodden Hill. According to the trailers, she will fall into the hands of the Squirrels, a non-human guerilla faction. It remains to be seen whether Yennefer will reunite with Geralt and what path their encounter will take in Season 2. Tune in on December 18th on Netflix to find out!
