1. You don’t have to bear the pain alone
Sonozaki is a key character in the Kiznaiver system. She had an unhappy childhood, living in an experimental facility, enduring the pain of endless experiments. The accumulated suffering left Sonozaki emotionally numb and disconnected from her true self. But by the final episode, Sonozaki undergoes a transformation when Katsuhira convinces her that she doesn’t need to carry all that pain by herself. She can let go, share it with others, and live her own life.
2. I’m always here to listen and care for you
One of the humorous highlights of the story is the character Yuta. His secret is that he used to be overweight and went through a harsh weight loss program to achieve his current attractive appearance. Yuta is portrayed as a charming yet somewhat shallow person, but in reality, he is deeply attentive and considerate of his friends, especially Honoka. He is the first to notice strange behaviors in her and is perceptive enough to understand the difficulties she faced in the past.
3. No matter who you are, we’ll remain close friends
In the Kiznaiver test group, Honoka is a mysterious and reserved girl who rejects the concept of friendship, often isolating herself from the others. The reason for this behavior lies in a painful past involving her childhood friend. They were once very close, even co-writing and publishing a comic together, until the friend confessed her romantic feelings for Honoka. Overwhelmed by confusion, Honoka abandoned her friend, who later completed the final chapter of the comic alone before passing away from a serious illness. Honoka has lived with guilt ever since and avoids making new friends, afraid of causing further harm.
4. I’m sorry, let’s make up
In friendships, disagreements are inevitable. At such moments, it’s not about who’s right or wrong, but who values the relationship enough to mend it. Apologies don’t cost anything, but they can create a priceless moment that strengthens a precious friendship.
5. I love you so much
Some people believe that in friendship, there’s no need for formalities. But that’s not entirely true. According to life’s milestones, most friendships last around 7 to 8 years. If you want your friendship to last forever, don’t hesitate to express your love to your friend: 'I love you,' 'You mean the world to me,' 'We’ll always be there for each other.' These words will be a heartfelt gift that warms their soul.
6. Feeling lost in a group of three
Have you ever felt left out in a group of three friends, where the other two seem to bond more closely? Or have you developed feelings for one friend, unintentionally leaving the other behind? People often say that a close friendship exists only between two people, but that's not always true. If you truly care for your friends, allow them space with others. Show that you are valuable to both, and become the strong connection that keeps the trio united.
7. Love and friendship
One of the key tensions in Kiznaiver is how characters begin to develop romantic feelings for one another. Nico likes Tenga, Tenga likes Chidori, Chidori likes Katsuhira, but Katsuhira has feelings for Sonozaki. As we see, love disrupts their friendships, creating irreparable pain, a pain the Kizuna system can’t share. The boundary between love and friendship has always been blurry, but once they cross into each other's territories, it becomes almost impossible to return.
8. Let's trust each other more
Honesty and mutual trust are the essential foundations of any friendship. In the preliminary round of the Kizuna system, the characters had to participate in a truth-telling game. In this challenge, they were required to reveal their deepest secrets in order to survive. This was the first true connection between these seven strangers.
9. Our youth is made of memories
In the Kizuna experiment, Nico is perhaps the most innocent and naive. With her quirky appearance and childlike mindset, she believes that everyone is here to make friends. She is the only one who escapes the stress of each mission, enjoying herself with the others as if they were ordinary students. This helps everyone open up and bond more easily.
10. I'm here for you, don't worry
Tenga is seen as a unique character. Though he has a large frame, he isn't necessarily the strongest, but he has a strong sense of justice. He is always ready to protect and help his friends selflessly. In contrast to his impulsive exterior, Tenga has a deep fear of dogs and a heart full of emotion.
