Miss Supranational is an annual international beauty pageant that ranks as the fifth largest beauty competition in the world (according to the prestigious beauty website Global Beauties). It is managed by the World Beauty Association S.A. (WBA), headquartered in Panama. The first edition took place in 2009 in Płock, Poland, where Oksana Moria from Ukraine was crowned the first winner. It was founded by the government of Aruba (then part of the Netherlands Antilles) as an initiative to promote tourism globally.
