Mẫu câu trả lời (Sample Response)
1. Do you think individuals enjoy accomplishing tasks in groups?
(Bạn có nghĩ rằng mọi người thích làm mọi việc theo nhóm không?)
I believe it varies from person to person. Some individuals prefer independent tasks due to their personal traits and work style. They might find it challenging to assign tasks and trust others, unlike when working alone where they have full control over their work progress. However, there are also individuals who strongly favor teamwork. These can be described as “outgoing” people who thrive on interacting with their surroundings and are stimulated by others’ responses. Such individuals often choose collaborative projects or tasks that involve multiple participants.
- solitary: một mình, tính cá nhân
- collaborative (adj): hợp tác
2. Could you describe different professions that people engage in either individually or collaboratively?
(Bạn có thể cho biết về những công việc khác nhau mà mọi người tự làm hoặc làm theo nhóm không?)
As I see it, certain occupations are better done alone than in a team such as creative work. Some of my friends who are graphic designers and artists told me that they find other people distracting to their job since they can’t let their creativity flow. I suppose it’s also because they are difficult to work with due to their disagreeable nature.
On the other hand, many jobs require group work. For example, if a person specializes in Logistics or Human resource management, it’s extremely crucial that he or she cooperates with others, since the yielded result is a collective work.
- cooperate (v): hợp tác
- collective work: công việc tập thể
3. Do you believe there are individuals in the workplace who do not get along? Why?
(Bạn có nghĩ rằng một số người không thích nhau ở nơi làm việc? Tại sao?)
I firmly believe that there is typically some form of disagreement between two individuals at some stage in their lives. This is especially evident in workplaces where there are clashes of personality. Each person is entitled to their own opinions, and sometimes these opinions clash, resulting in numerous arguments and, at worst, animosity. Experts have shown that there are individuals who prioritize tasks and others who prioritize relationships, meaning some value achieving goals over sentimental considerations and vice versa. In a company, these diverse personality traits are essential for efficiency, but can also lead to conflicts.
- feud (n): hiềm khích, thù hận
- personality clashes: xung đột cá nhân
- entitled to his/her own opinions: có quyền được có ý kiến riêng của anh ấy/cô ấy
- task-oriented and relationship-oriented people: người định hướng đến công việc và người định hướng đến quan hệ
- vice versa: ngược lại
- personality traits: đặc điểm tính cách
4. What traits should an effective leader possess?
(Một nhà lãnh đạo giỏi cần có những phầm chất nào?)
Well, there are a number of traits that are expected of a leader, including integrity and good communication. The former is pretty obvious since top-level executives, who are in charge of the whole organization and making significant decisions, should be fair and impartial to everyone to ensure the members’ job satisfaction. The latter – communication is intertwined with effective leadership as it can directly affect the success of a group or organization. These two personalities contribute significantly to make a great leader.
- integrity (n): thanh liêm
- top-level executives: điều hành cấp cao
- impartial: vô tư
- intertwined with: đan xen với
