I used to not pay much attention to bookmarks, but recently, as I've saved many essential websites for work and study, I've realized the importance of syncing bookmarks across different browsers. It helps me with being more efficient. Since I'm currently using a Samsung smartphone and I don't find any browser as good as Samsung Internet, I decided to use this browser.
However, when using it, I encountered certain issues, notably that Samsung Internet doesn't have the typical import and export functions for bookmarks like other browsers such as Chrome, Edge,...Now I see the necessity of bookmarks, folks, take a look at the instructions, there may come a day when you need them.
Chrome and Edge
To transfer bookmarks to Samsung Internet from Chrome and Edge, folks, you first need to install the Samsung Internet extension.

*Link for Edge: Samsung InternetAfter installing it, folks, follow these steps:- Go to the extension section on Chrome and Edge
- Select Samsung Internet
- Choose Chrome/Edge bookmark
- Click Import
- Select Add to current Chrome/Edge bookmarks
That's the desktop procedure, now let's move on to the mobile steps:- Access Samsung Internet on your smartphone
- Tap the “3 horizontal lines” icon in the top right corner
- Select settings
- Choose the first option “Sync with Samsung Cloud”
- Turn on the items you want to Sync like bookmarks, saved pages, etc.
- Press Sync Now to finish.
Now, Bookmarks have been transferred to Samsung Internet, almost every bookmark I need has been transferred, not missing a single one.Safari
Upon searching, it appears that Samsung Internet doesn't have an extension for Safari. Therefore, transferring bookmarks from Safari to Samsung Internet will be a bit more complicated. First, you'll need to transfer bookmarks from Safari to other browsers. Let's take Chrome as an example. To export bookmarks from Safari:- Select File
- Choose Export → Bookmarks
- This file will be saved to your device as an HTML file
- Select Bookmarks on the toolbar
- Choose Bookmarks Manager
- Now it's in the Bookmarks interface, select the “3 dots” icon
- Choose Import Bookmarks
- Choose the HTML file you just downloaded from Safari, then click Open to finish
Now, Safari bookmarks have become Chrome bookmarks, so to transfer from Chrome to Samsung Internet, just follow the steps I instructed for Chrome. For Edge or other browsers, you can also use this method, it's a bit roundabout but it works.
Earlier were the methods I used to transfer bookmarks from other browsers to Samsung Internet. Why do I have to transfer? Because on my Samsung device, I feel there's no browser better optimized than Samsung Internet. Not only on Samsung devices, but you can also use Samsung Internet for other Android phones, just not as smooth as on Samsung.
