The most evident sign is the network setup error, persisting despite multiple reboots. After some investigation, I found the cause: the preconfigured APN settings by Windows Phone fail to work. Here's the fix:
Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Access Point.
Step 2: You'll see default network names and settings, but they won't work. Instead, tap the '+' icon at the bottom.
Step 3: In the 'Name' field, enter any name like '3G'.
Step 4: Fill in the 'Access Point Name', 'Username', 'Password' based on your carrier's settings. Below, I've listed setups for MobiFone, VinaPhone, and Viettel. Enter accordingly.
Tip: You can also find these details in the preset configuration (the one that didn't work earlier).
Step 5: After filling, tap the 'Done' tick icon at the bottom.
Step 6: Your phone will automatically reconnect to 3G. Give it a try!
MobiFone APN Configuration:
Access Point Name: m-wap
Username: mms
Password: mms
VinaPhone APN Configuration:
Access Point Name: m3-world
Username: mms
Password: mms
Viettel APN Configuration:
Access Point Name: v-internet
Username: leave blank
Password: leave blank
If you wish to use MMS, tap 'MMS Access Point' while adding the 3G configuration, then fill in the details based on your carrier. MMS configuration is NOT mandatory for 3G.
You've manually reconfigured your device, following this guide, hoping for successful 3G network access.
