Folk games used to reign supreme in Vietnam, both in the city and hometowns and villages because life was simple back then: those state-of-the-art devices (such as smartphones or computers) were rare. Folk games is a reminiscent of my childhood, and I’m glad that I was being born and raised during the time when folk games were still a thing.
If my memory serves me right, we used to play a lot of hide-and-seek games, due to the fact that the rule was so simple and easy to learn, and it suits best for beginners. Once we played a lot of that, we switched to playing blind man’s buff. I would have to admit that the game was rather quite intense and nerve-racking, I remember when they nearly caught me, my heartbeat was so fast. Sometimes, we played other games that are rather chill like playing marbles, mandarin square capturing (a strategy game that requires logical thinking like modern chess).

Đôi khi, chúng tôi tham gia những trò chơi nhẹ nhàng khác như bi, bắt ô vuông (một trò chơi chiến thuật yêu cầu tư duy logic như cờ vua hiện đại).
