Zalo introduced a highly beneficial new feature to conclude 2020, allowing users to swiftly summarize their year. This Year in Review feature showcases a series of remarkable statistics from the past year. Follow our step-by-step guide to make the most of Zalo's 2020 Year in Review.
1. Utilizing the 2020 Year in Review Feature on Zalo for Android and iOS Phones
Beyond PCs, the Year in Review feature on Zalo can be effortlessly accessed on Android and iOS smartphones. Here's how you can do it.

Steps to Use Zalo's New Features:
2020 Year in Review (Latest Update):
- Step 1: Open Zalo on your phone, tap on 'Messages' at the top, find 'Year in Review 2020' and select 'View now'. In the Year in Review 2020 interface, click the arrow in the bottom right corner.
- Step 2: In this interface, two options appear. To go back, click the left arrow, and to continue reviewing 2020, click the right arrow. Press the arrow at the bottom right to proceed with the 2020 review. When Zalo displays 'Last year, you showed care to everyone by', you have 3 choices:
- Left arrow: Go back to the previous interface.
- Post journal: Post your '2020 review' photos on your personal Zalo page.
- Right arrow: Continue to review the year 2020.
- Step 3: Continue pressing the right arrow, and your Zalo activity data such as new friends made, who listened to you the most, your longest conversation, the group where you felt most comfortable expressing yourself, etc., will be displayed. At the end, Zalo summarizes everything you did on Zalo over the year as previously described. To post your '2020 review' photos on your personal Zalo page, click on 'Post journal'. To go back, press the left arrow, and to exit, press the 'x' at the top right corner. (Image 5).
2020 Review by Zalo Group (Updated January 2021):
- Step 1: On your phone interface, open the Zalo app (log in if you haven't yet) and tap 'Messages' at the bottom left of the screen. At the top right corner of the screen, tap 'Discover' to use the Look Back at 2020 feature. (Image 2).
- Step 2: Proceed to the 2020 review interface, select 'Go to the next page'. Here, you are presented with two choices:
+ Touch the right side of the screen to move to the next image.
+ Tap 'Send to group' to share it within a group.
- Step 3: Continue by touching the right side of the screen until the group appears then select any group you want to review the year 2020 with. Following that, you can proceed as before to review the year 2020 of the selected group.
Note: The 2020 recap feature on Zalo is exclusively for active group chats, not for individual users or less active groups.
2. Using the 2020 Recap Feature on Zalo via Computers, PCs
Accessing the 2020 recap feature on Zalo is the same whether on a web browser or the Zalo app. This guide explains how to explore this useful feature, focusing on group recaps for the year.
- Step 1: Log in to Zalo on the app.

- Step 2: Look at the top right corner below your Zalo avatar and click on the 'Messages' icon.
- Step 3: Find and select the group you wish to review for the year 2020 on Zalo.
- Step 4: At the bottom right corner of the Zalo interface, click on 'Review the group's 2020'.
- Step 5: Zalo displays impressive stats for 2020 on the right, offering options to 'Continue' or 'Send to Group'.
If you wish to explore more interesting stats about the group's 2020, select 'Continue'.
The results will be displayed as shown below:
- Step 6: Pressing 'Continue' reveals an interesting figure along with three options:
+ Continue: Move to another intriguing statistic.
+ Go back: Return to the previous interesting figure.
+ Send to group: Share the interesting figure image in the group.
- Step 7: Clicking 'Continue' until groups are displayed means you've seen the exciting aspects of that group in 2020. To view another group, click on the group as shown below.
