1. What are Informal Contractions?
Informal contractions are shortened forms of words or phrases commonly used in regular communication. For example, 'wanna' is a contraction of 'want to'. When pronounced quickly, 'want to' sounds very similar to 'wanna'.
Similar to slang, Informal Contractions are very common in spoken language, so we can apply these shortened forms in the speaking test, but should avoid using them in writing. Moreover, these contractions often involve words like you, have, to... making it easy to incorporate them into spoken answers.
It's advisable not to overuse them in the same sentence because too much of anything is not good, as it can make your speech sound forced or affect the fluency of your response.

3.1 Do you fancy ice cream?
Sure thing, I do. Isn't anything more refreshing than enjoying a cup of ice cream on a scorching summer day. The chilling sensation of icy cold liquid sliding down my throat is genuinely a gratifying experience. My preferred flavors of ice cream are red bean and chocolate, so my fridge is consistently stocked with both.
3.2 Did you consume ice cream as a child?
Back when I was still a little imp, I was completely hooked. There was a time when I would devour an entire tub of ice cream for supper and call it a night. As a result, I developed cavities and needed to visit the dentist. I didn't heed the lesson though and continued to consume two popsicle sticks daily until my mother finally put her foot down.
