1. International Day for Older Persons (01/10)
International Day for Older Persons (IDOP) was established by the United Nations on 1/10/1991. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about issues affecting older people such as aging process and to advocate for the care, nurture, and protection of older persons.
2. Vietnamese Teachers' Day (02/10)
On October 2nd, 1996, the Vietnam Association for Promoting and Supporting Education (referred to as the Vietnam Teachers' Association) was established according to Decision No. 122/QD-TTg dated 29/2/1996 of the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
Vietnamese Teachers' Day is established to encourage and honor studious examples, groups, and individuals with achievements in educational promotion work; simultaneously actively participating and promoting the study movement, self-study following the great example of Uncle Ho.

5. Vietnam Lawyers' Traditional Day (10/10)
On October 10th, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed Order No. 46/SL to establish the profession of lawyers with the purpose of issuing regulations on lawyers and organizing the first independent lawyers in Vietnam.
Until January 14th, 2013, the Party and the State decided to designate October 10th every year as the traditional day of Vietnam Lawyers. This day is established to recognize the significant contributions of the lawyer team to the country over the years.
6. Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (13/10)
On September 20th, 2004, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 990/QD-TTg to designate October 13th as Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day annually. The establishment of this day aims to honor the contributions of entrepreneurs to social development. Additionally, it is an occasion to reward and encourage the competitive and productive movement of Vietnamese entrepreneurs and enterprises.
7. Establishment Day of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (14/10)
On January 17th, 1991, the Politburo decided to designate October 14th, 1930, as the establishment day of the Vietnam Farmers' Association. This is a socio-political organization of the farmer class led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Vietnam Farmers' Association operates with the goal of uniting farmers, building a strong farmer class in all aspects, and ensuring the successful implementation of industrialization, modernization of agriculture, and rural areas.
8. Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Union (15/10)
On October 15th, 1956, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the National Youth Front decided to designate October 15th every year as the traditional day of the Vietnam Youth Union.
Activities commemorating the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Union may include meetings, traditional gatherings, organizing sports competitions, etc. This is also an occasion for the Union's departments, cadres, members, and volunteers to carry out meaningful projects and activities for people and children in difficult areas nationwide.
9. Vietnam Women's Day (20/10)
On October 20th, 1930, the Vietnamese Women's Anti-Imperialist Association (now renamed as the Vietnam Women's Union) was officially established. Subsequently, the Party decided to designate October 20th every year as the day to commemorate and honor Vietnamese women, officially known as Vietnam Women's Day.
On this occasion, individuals, organizations, and groups express their care and honor for women in various ways such as giving flowers, gifts, cards accompanied by meaningful wishes.
10. Halloween Festival (31/10)
Halloween, also known as the costume festival, takes place on October 31st every year, on the evening before All Saints' Day in Western Christianity.
Halloween is a major festival for people in Western countries, where people dress up as scary characters, superheroes, characters from novels on this day. Especially, children will dress up in devilish costumes, carry candy baskets, knock on doors of houses, and happily shout 'Trick or Treat' to receive candy.
