I’d like to talk about Robert Downey Jr., an American actor who has become a household name thanks to the Marvel films. The role that impressed me the most was Tony Stark, the genius billionaire who becomes Iron Man, especially in Avengers: Endgame.
At the beginning of the series, Tony Stark is charismatic but deeply flawed – he’s rich, arrogant and pretty irresponsible. Over time, though, he goes through a really powerful character arc. Robert Downey Jr. makes him feel like a real person, not just a typical superhero. He delivers sarcastic one-liners all the time, but underneath the jokes you can still sense a lot of emotional depth and hidden insecurity.
What really stood out to me was how he used very subtle facial expressions and body language. In serious moments, he doesn’t need to shout to show strong feelings. This is especially clear in the final part of Endgame, during the epic final battle. There is the famous moment when he decides to sacrifice himself and says the iconic line “I am Iron Man”. It only lasts a few seconds, but he completely steals the scene, and the whole cinema went silent.
When I watched it, I went through a real rollercoaster of emotions. At first I was laughing at his jokes, then I felt nervous during the fight, and in the end I was on the verge of tears. Even after the film ended, his journey left a lasting impression on me. It really made me reflect on courage, responsibility and how someone can change from being selfish to being willing to give everything for others.
