Alright, so let me tell you about a rather stressful experience I had last semester when I received some incorrect information from a classmate.
So basically, it happened right before our final exams. I had been preparing for a psychology test, and I was quite confident about the content. The night before the exam, I asked one of my classmates about the exam schedule, and she confidently told me that it would take place at 2 PM the next day.
Well, since I trusted her and didn’t double-check, I showed up at 1:45, only to find out — to my horror — that the exam had actually taken place at 9 AM that morning! I was completely shocked and upset and honestly, I didn’t know what to do. I felt so stressed because missing a final could mean failing the entire course.
Thankfully, I went straight to the department office and explained the situation. After writing a formal appeal and providing some evidence of miscommunication, they allowed me to retake the test a few days later.
Looking back, I guess the main lesson I learned was to always verify important information myself. I mean, it’s okay to ask others, but I should have checked the official schedule. That experience, although very frustrating at the time, definitely taught me to be more responsible.
