Interval (danh từ): một khoảng cách, một quãng thời gian

Ý nghĩa và cách hiểu

Trong toán học, interval được định nghĩa là tập hợp các giá trị trong 2 giới hạn được cho trước, hay còn được gọi là 2 giá trị đầu mút.

Trong một tập hợp (interval), 2 giá trị đầu mút có thể thuộc hoặc không thuộc tập hợp đó, phụ thuộc vào điều kiện được đưa ra và được kí hiệu khác nhau.

Trong khoảng từ giá trị a đến b:

• [a,b]: a và b nằm trong khoảng giá trị này

• (a,b): a và b không nằm trong khoảng giá trị này

• (a,b] ; [a,b): Một trong 2 giới hạn trong nằm trong khoảng giá trị này.

Giải thích khái niệm
