VinFast has identified its new 'national car' after the Fadil: 32,000 cars delivered in 2024, nearly 5,000 units in December alone

In 2021, the Fadil was the top-selling car in the market, with over 24,000 units sold. After three years, VinFast has found its new 'national car' model to replace it.

VinFast has just announced a series of record-breaking market figures for 2024. The company delivered 20,000 vehicles in December and closed the year with 87,000 cars, surpassing the previous global delivery goal of 80,000 vehicles.

Among these, the VF 5 was the best-selling model in the product lineup and also the top-selling car in the domestic market for 2024. Specifically, in December 2024, VinFast delivered over 4,900 VF 5 units, totaling over 32,000 units for the year.

Thus, three years after the A-segment hatchback Fadil topped the market's sales chart, VinFast has found its next 'national car' in the VF 5. Previously, the VinFast Fadil sold over 24,000 units in 2021, surpassing competitors such as the Toyota Vios and Hyundai Accent.

With a total of 32,000 units, the VinFast VF 5 alone surpassed the annual sales of many other car brands. For example, Honda announced its 2024 sales in Vietnam at over 28,000 vehicles. A figure above 30,000 cars is a dream for many other car brands in the Vietnamese market.

This sales figure also outpaced the 'sales kings' of gasoline-powered vehicles in the Vietnamese market, such as the Mitsubishi Xpander (around 19,500 units), Ford Ranger (over 17,500 units), and Mazda CX-5 (nearly 14,800 units).

Việc hợp tác giữa VinFast và GSM với các hãng vận tải đã giúp đẩy mạnh doanh số của VF 5, mẫu xe lý tưởng cho các dịch vụ taxi nhờ vào các hợp đồng mua xe lớn.

Chính sách miễn phí sạc cho tất cả các mẫu xe điện VinFast, kéo dài đến năm 2027 trong khuôn khổ chương trình "Mãnh liệt tinh thần Việt Nam", đã tạo động lực mạnh mẽ cho nhu cầu sử dụng xe điện, không chỉ cho người tiêu dùng cá nhân mà còn cho các dịch vụ vận tải.
