1. Trấn Thành

Movies: Mai (551.2 billion), Nhà Bà Nữ (459.6 billion), Bố Già (395.1 billion)

2. Lý Hải

Movies: Lật Mặt 7: Một Điều Ước (482.7 billion), Lật Mặt 6 (273.1 billion), Lật Mặt 5: 48H (156.7 billion), Lật Mặt 4: Nhà Có Khách (117.5 billion)

When talking about Lý Hải, the first thing that comes to mind is the Lật Mặt movie series, where all the films that earned over 100 billion were directed and written by him. 4. Nguyễn Quang Dũng

Movies: Tiệc Trăng Máu (172.5 billion), Đất Rừng Phương Nam (140.4 billion)

Nguyễn Quang Dũng is known for directing drama films, and unsurprisingly, his most successful works belong to this genre, with a common trait: they are adaptations or remakes. Tiệc Trăng Máu is a remake of the Italian film Perfect Strangers, which has been adapted in multiple countries like Spain and South Korea, featuring a talented cast including Kaity Nguyễn, Thái Hòa, Kiều Minh Tuấn, and Hồng Ánh.

Đất Rừng Phương Nam is an adaptation of the novel by Đoàn Giỏi, based on a popular TV series that has touched the hearts of many generations of viewers. Nguyễn Quang Dũng's version faced several controversies, but most viewers were fond of Hạo Khang's portrayal of the character Bé An.

5. Võ Thanh Hòa

6. Vũ Ngọc Đãng

Movies: Bố Già (395.1 billion), Chị Chị Em Em 2 (121 billion)

In addition to the success of Bố Già, Vũ Ngọc Đãng also achieved another 100-billion film with Chị Chị Em Em 2, which was released during the 2023 Lunar New Year, starring Minh Hằng and Ngọc Trinh. While his other drama films like Con Nhót Mót Chồng and Cô Dâu Hào Môn didn't reach the 100-billion mark, they still grossed over 70 billion, showcasing the director's strength in portraying family-related conflicts.

7. Phan Gia Nhật Linh

Movies: Em là Bà Nội của Anh (102 billion), Em và Trịnh (100 billion)

Phan Gia Nhật Linh is an experienced director, and his most recent success with the film Em và Trịnh, based on the life of musician Trịnh Công Sơn, helped him achieve his first 100-billion box office hit. Previously, Em Là Bà Nội Của Anh, a remake of a Korean film starring Miu Lê, also brought significant success to him.

In the near future, Phan Tễu will take on the role of co-director and screenwriter for the adaptation of the famous work Số Đỏ (English title: Dumb Luck), based on Vũ Trọng Phụng’s novel, with Mono expected to play the lead role.
