Situated in a quiet area, Temple Lodging Shukubo Kakurinbo, a temple with accommodations where travelers can actually stay, is conveniently located for visiting Minobusan Kuonji. Enjoy the breathtakingly gorgeous Japanese garden crafted by famous hands. Traditional shojin kaiseki cuisine using locally-sourced ingredients is available. Guests can experience a sutra reading, where the teachings of Buddha are received directly in a sermon from a high monk during their stay. International guests will enjoy the traditional accommodations. All guest rooms are Japanese-style, with tatami mat floors and futon bedding. *About the Sutra Experience Plan* Guests experience a sutra reading, where teachings of Buddha are received directly in a sermon from a high monk during their stay. Please note guests cannot choose the time of the experience. If a guest so wishes, the priest will pray for them individually at no extra cost. After the sutra reading the guest will be presented with an original omamori (protection amulet) from the temple. Readings take place at Minobusan Kuon Temple, about a 15 minute walk from the lodging.
